Review: The Lost Prince

The Lost Prince by Julie KagawaDon’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.

That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’d dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.

As usual Julie Kagawa hit me with a bang! I have 3 damn words to say "I like love it!" There is no doubt that many of you will not only enjoy this book, but you won't be able to escape the Fey realm. This time the protagonist is now the cute little 4 yr old, AKA Ethan Chase, the younger brother of Meghan Chase well fuck that! He is now a brooding hunk, gorgeous, irritating, sexy, asshole and swoon-worthy douche. At the starting of the story I just couldn't put the book down, I finished the whole story in one sitting, and my gosh! I was completely awestruck. Nothing would make me happier than having Ethan Chase all to myself, but not only that another character shows up!
*Drum roll*
 Can you guess?
Clue: 3/4 human, has the ability to control Summer, Winter and Iron. Can you guess?!?! It's Kierran, the son of Ash and Meghan! In this new refreshing story, he joins a quest with Ethan along with  Ethan's maybe-future-girlfriend, Kenzie. Kierran also has his own love life, but I never really got to know her very much because she was only a minor character. Her name is Annwyl. Her BG is quite interesting. *No spoilers*

Kenzie, is the reporter in Ethan's new school. After several transfer of schools, Ethan met Kenzie, and since she is the reporter, she has to interview all the new students. Well....Ethan caught Kenzie's interest, he does have a bad reputation (Burning the school library kind of reputation) no wonder he stands out. Ethan did everything just to make himself unapproachable to people, he dresses like a delinquent, pierced his ears and badmouthing...everyone. Even with his facade of doucheness, Kenzie was able to break him. The girl that he was afraid to fall for.

About the plot: Ethan's plan was to be unapproachable, be the biggest jerk ever! But too bad for him, he never had a plan B. Entering his new school was already a bad start, there he met Kenzie, the school's pretty reporter. After that he made a new friend stalker, and that so-called friend is a half-breed. Way the go, Ethan!
Meeting this new friend got him to more issues, he even got Kenzie to get involved into the Fey World. That's when the real drama starts. Ethan's motto was "Don't look at Them, Never let Them know you can see Them" The "Them" is his code name for Fey.
He has issues with the Faeries...since they practically took half of his life. If you guys read the Iron Fey series, Ethan was kidnapped in Iron King, the 1st book of the Iron Fey series, he was traumatized. He got his big sister to save him and that ended up pushing her away and making her into a Queen. His sister left him to become the Iron Queen leaving her family behind. One of the reasons why Ethan really HATES and holds a GRUDGE against the Fey.

To end my review, I have to say this book really surprised me. Nothing went wrong. A score of A+! That means Julie Kagawa is given a perfect score! I'm so glad I have my own copy :D I love you Julie! Forever and Always!

Next Review will be Rebel Heart by Moira Young (I can't promise that it will be a good review) :(
