“Ever
since I’ve met you, I’ve wanted to break every rule.” Aiden turned
away, the muscles in his neck tensing. He sighed. “You’ll become the
center of someone’s world one day. And he’ll be the luckiest son of a
bitch on this earth.” – Aiden
Well Jennifer, this series is so far my still favorite and I'm dying for more to come. I certainly enjoyed your way of writing and the twists and everything were phenomenal. It keeps me guessing until I'm wronged. :P
In the second book I find myself having to read more about Seth than Aiden. I was slightly disappointed about Aiden not showing up as much as I wanted, but I'm sure Jennifer will add some more twists behind Aiden's no show.
Alex has earned more selfcontrol than in the first book. She was able to hide her feelings from Aiden, but she had her moments when she couldn't hold it in anymore. I have to be honest, but this book made me cry twice. I have never felt so emotional and personal about a book. Words can't describe what I felt when tears started to fall. Especially when Caleb had died that just made it worse for me. I cursed under my breath when it was Leah's damn fault. I swore I would tear her head off her neck.
The characters never let me down. Jennifer was able to balance out everything, the romance and the elements ;) She continues to amaze me. Her main character Alex is the type of character that you could easily relate too. I found myself drowned by Jennifer's writing. It was simply amazing, I couldn't avert my eyes off the pages. They seemed to have completely taken over my body. Alex's witty self, bravery, cleverness and sensitivity is just what makes her a heroine. And it completes the whole plot.
Seth changed my opinion of him after reading Pure. I found it hot when he was all sweet to Alex. I could tell that he was attracted to Alex's charms and badmouth. No one could ever resist such a sexy apollyon. In the first book I was team Aiden , but after this book. I'm very confused now LOL I can't seem to pick my team. All my friends adore Seth, but their is just something about him that makes me hesitate and I'll just have to find out in DEITY. BTW the idea of Seth sleeping beside Alex every night takes me breath away. I would do anything to find Seth snuggling in my bed with me.
Aiden found himself thrusting his on blade to his chest because he lied to himself about loving Alex. I almost fainted just by imagining him rejecting Alex. They were a match made in heaven yet he rejected such a blessing. He loved her more than anything and he did what any person would do, he showed his affections to her behind her back. I felt so sorry for Aiden when he watched Seth pull Alex into his own arms, I could imagine the pain he must have felt. The only girl he loved so much is easily stolen by another man. He kinda pissed me off when he told Alex that she only chose Seth because she couldn't have Aiden I mean seriously I'm a girl and I so got turned off. She didn't actually choose Seth she just wanted to try something different, something that would erase her feelings for Aiden. She wants someone she could have and Aiden didn't like the idea of having another man touch his woman. The brawl against Seth and Aiden was exciting, I was team Seth on that part. I wanted Seth to keep touching Alex, he was making me squeal the whole time. I just wished that Alex didn't wake up to see Aiden beside her, but Seth...
The story is still capturing my heart, and I will never forget such a well-written story. Jennifer deserves 5 stars. I am willing to give her my support. I hope she makes another series sooner or later after the Covenant series. Let's just hope she'll be able to make us fall in love again with Aiden and Seth on the third book. Good luck Jennifer!!!
