About the Book:
What if a ‘Once in a Lifetime’ could happen twice?
Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London's soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But, when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable.
When River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, comes back into Dahlia’s life, the intensity that fires their relationship combined with underlying feelings that have never died lead her to believe she has met her soulmate.
Struggling with confusion as old connections fade and new ones begin, Dahlia's grief begins to lift--but guilt remains. River wants to be the one to mend all that is torn within her.
But with a past that is never really gone, can their future survive?

My thoughts....
Connected has been one of those reads that I would have fallen over for because of the sexiness of the cover. I found it very attractive and I was very sure that this book had a lot more to tell than kissing. Connected was a hard read and the romance was well complied and written beautifully. The author used powerful words that took full control of the characters and the reader's emotions. I wasn't ready for the tears to fall down, but my emotions kicked it. I have never felt so vulnerable when I was reading, I usually read books with a serious face as I took down notes of all the beautiful lines and the ones who didn't win my favor. But this story had me shaking with sadness and darkness. My mind felt unclear and I questioned who the character really was. Kim karr wanted her reader's to be surprised or at awe once they've really read about Dahlia, She wasn't just any protagonist.
You will never be prepared to read Dahlia's story. The author's fashion glowered with sadness, her words weren't fast nor was it slow; perfect. She wrote everything perfectly, star quality. Dahlia was a creation she imaged in her thoughts, and she was the type of girl who was so fragile too hold. My heart really shattered at the beginning of the story, I didn't have an immediate connection with the character, but I found myself loving her like a friend, she wasn't just a person written on paper and ink. I loved both her golden and rotten moments. It added a real edge in the story, but River Wilde was the real edge. He's hot, he's bad, he's sexy and he's swoon-worthy. Plus he's a rockstar. Gosh I love that. I love reading books with a lot of music and kissing. He was all over Dahlia, he sensed a spark when they both had eye contact and I found myself cheering on for them. Kim Karr created Dahlia and River's encounter to prove that you can find love even when you're in love. Dahlia knew that her loyalty will always be with her boyfriend, but meeting River created a twist in her fate. Nothing will last forever. Might, I add.
I would recommend this book to those readers who are sick of old cliche contemporary(s), but you know contemporary is full of cliche and dull dialogues. Kim Karr created a balance to all her cliche and made it not cliche, but unique. That's actually one of the best styles in story telling. I really loved reading this emotional book. It wasn't expected, but I loved it. The summary got me squealing for a copy, but the summary doesn't have the complete twist in the story. Am I making you shaky? hehe. This is one hell of a ride.
I live in Florida with my husband and four kids. I’ve always had a love for reading books and writing. In college I majored in English and wanted to teach at the college level, but that was not to be. I went on to get my MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise my family. I currently work part-time with my husband and recently decided to embrace one of my biggest passions - writing. I wear a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer mom, taxi driver, and just the all around go-to person of the family. However, I always find time to read. One of my favorite family outing when my kids were little was to take them to the bookstore or the library. Today my oldest child is seventeen and no longer comes with me on these now rare and infrequent outings, but honestly I don’t need to go on them anymore because I have the greatest device ever invented, a kindle.
I believe in soulmates, kindred spirits, and Happily-Ever-Afters. I have many favorite things ranging from books – to movies – to words. I love to drink champagne and listen to music. I hope to always stay young at heart.
Connected is my debut novel and is currently available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble , iTunes andKobo.I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
