Review: The Watcher by Lisa Voisin

The WatcherMillennia ago, he fell from heaven for her.

Can he face her without falling again?

Fascinated with ancient civilizations, seventeen-year-old Mia Crawford dreams of becoming an archaeologist. She also dreams of wings—soft and silent like snow—and somebody trying to steal them.

When a horrible creature appears out of thin air and attacks her, she knows Michael Fontaine is involved, though he claims to know nothing about it. Secretive and aloof, Michael evokes feelings in Mia that she doesn’t understand. Images of another time and place haunt her. She recognizes them—but not from any textbook.

In search of the truth, Mia discovers a past life of forbidden love, jealousy and revenge that tore an angel from Heaven and sent her to an early grave. Now that her soul has returned, does she have a chance at loving that angel again? Or will an age-old nemesis destroy them both?

Ancient history is only the beginning.

My thoughts...

From the summary to the cover I loved everything about the story. Lisa Voisin is an amazing author, she wrote such a full filling celestial story filled with lust, action, magic and regrets. The story begins when Mia sees an unconscious body then she was attacked by some kind of dark shadow. Michael saw it all happen, but refuses to acknowledge her. Yes, he's brooding, gorgeous, sexy and hot. But he has secrets of his own. Secrets that Mia shouldn't put her nose in.

Michael was given a second chance on earth, but he was tested again by God himself. Will he choose heaven or his lustful demands for a woman? A test that will prove it all. A revenge that will break it all. A soul that will save you all...

I'm so proud and happy to say that I am part of Lisa's Street Team, she has been nothing, but awesome for the past months. As I've been reading through The Watchers, I can understand the passion Lisa has for her writing. Flawless, I might add. Biblical in a way and full of emotions and thoughts. The story was well polished and unputdownable.

The twist and heartaches brought it all to a big BOOM! I had to tear through all the pages because of curiosity. Lisa has this talent for entrancing her readers to read on. I couldn't blink an eye.

The writing was solid and visual. Lisa wanted her readers to feel like as if we were the characters in the story. Her writing was powerful and effective....some were hilarious. I swear some lines just made me crack up. I'd recommend this to everyone. Fast pace and powerful? A must read.

4 epic stars for you Lisa!
