It seemed so simple: Defeat the Tonton, rescue her kidnapped brother, Lugh, and then order would be restored to Saba’s world. Simplicity, however, has proved to be elusive. Now, Saba and her family travel west, headed for a better life and a longed-for reunion with Jack. But the fight for Lugh’s freedom has unleashed a new power in the dust lands, and a formidable new enemy is on the rise.
What is the truth about Jack? And how far will Saba go to get what she wants? In this much-anticipated follow-up to the riveting Blood Red Road, a fierce heroine finds herself at the crossroads of danger and destiny, betrayal and passion.
I don't remember much from the 1st book, but I'll try my best to connect it with this one :)
To prevent violent comments. I warn all the fans of Moira Young not to read this review.
Save yerself from my EVIL review.
I warned ya.
Ya'll sure?
BTW I copied the language in the story, you know the texas-slangish kind of words. Enjoy!
In this story Moira Young puts Saba in a perilous journey wer she is hanted by her past, she starts to hallucinate with spirits ferm the dead. She was already on her way to Big Water to have a honey coated life, leavin everythin in the past an movin on to a milky future. Then she stumbles on a small village wer she met a woman who claims that she can help her overcome the hanting spirits. Then another problem starts, she receives a message ferm Jack. It ain't no love letter, thus begins a journey to Lost Cause.
This time Moira Young did not reach my expectations, in the start of the story, it felt like nothin at all was happenin. Nothin entered my mind, I wasn't able to connect with Saba at all. In the sequel she became more distant than in the first book. In Blood Red Road she was brave, clever, a fighter, humble, kind and she was the ANGEL OF DEATH, but this time she ain't that gurl no more she became selfish, idiotic, a coward (She kept runnin away from all of her problems) afeared of everythin and a slut. I ain't disrespecting her the way some characters wanted her gone, I agreed why some of them wanted nothin to do with Saba, she got many of her friends killed an all she could say was I'm sorry. Saying sorry isn't enough gurl! Every time she made a mistake it always end with "I'm sorry"
I also got to learn to connect with Lugh an Saba's siblin relationship. Lugh don't seem to like Jack at all very much. Lugh is like those common brothers wer they always want no boy to approach der sister. It was adorable. My favorite character in this sequel is definitely Lugh, even if he's a complete ass, but he's all sugar inside. Everythin he does is for love....for Saba. While Saba was blinded by love, she completely ignored everyone who practically gave her the help she needed, but kept wantin more of those moonlit eyes. She was becomin more obsessed with Jack.
Saba is easily fooled by lies, words and actions. I mentioned earlier that she is idiotic. I cain't tell ya'll what stupid things she's done, becuz it'ud ruin the fun. I promise that der will be no spoilers in this review. But all I can say is she screwed up a lot of boys, well....not really screwed, but you know what I mean becuz in the plot Jack betrays Saba by joining the Tonton an that really made Saba release all her fury. She was really childish, runnin isn't a solution, but to her it's always the answer.
This story jest ain't right to me. It don't blend well as much as I thought it'ud. I was real excited having this eerie cover in my shelf, but now I wanna give it to someone who'ud want to read this story. I really loved Blood Red Road, but this ain't the same feelins I had after I read the first book. I did enjoy a bit of the last scenes, becuz that's when all the action started boiling. It got a bit fast like Moria wanted to squish everythin in one chapter. But that was it. Nothin more nothin less.

I am giving Moira Young's sequel 2.5 out of 5 stars. I cain't give her more. :( Ya'll better tell me what you thought of the first an second book. ;) Fer the mean time, ya'll should read a different book. Lemme tell you...somethin I am still plannin to read the next book. :)
Did ya'll enjoy my accent? (BTW that is not my real accent)
