Cover from COOL to HOT!

I have been a fan of Colleen Hoover for such a long time. I love her series especially Slammed, but Hopeless kinda placed a disturbing thought in my mind. So this post will be about the new cover designs of the Slammed series. I was so very disappointed at first when I saw the Slammed's cover design.

***Me and my friend at school***

Me: Tiff! You have to read Slammed! It's so fucking nice!"
Tiff: No way! The cover is weird...what is that? A table???
Me: What the fuck is wrong with youuu??? It's a chair!!
Tiff: Well...that makes it more appealing. *Rolls eyes*

A lot of readers hate to read awesome books who have terrible designs. It's hard to admit, but it's the truth. I'm sure all of you pick up the books that have eerie cover designs and you would suddenly have the desire to buy the book. I have those experiences all the time.

I'd like to talk about the evolution of the Slammed series cover designs. So the first version of the cover was a chair since the story was about poems and kisses, they wanted to portray a stool. Appealing? No... And that is not the only problem. The price is very high for such a thin book. But I would still want my own copy since the story is breathtaking. I don't care how much I spend as long as it's for Colleen Hoover. I just love her books!

The same opinions goes for the second book of the series, Point of Retreat. The book symbolizes a butterfly on the cover. I can't tell you much since I haven't read the sequel yet. I'll make a review as soon as possible. There have been rumors about having the sequel introduce a new character. More drama...more squealing. Oh gosh...don't make me faint.

Colleen Hoover has suddenly changed her cover designs which I find bitter sweet. Why you ask? Well...I have both copies for Slammed and Point of Retreat already and I have 2 copies for the sequel. Adding to my depression...when I saw the new cover designs. Oh stars! They are gorgeous! The cover is smoking hot! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. From a stool chair into a beautiful model, from a butterfly to a mysterious dark model. I wanted to slam my head on my desk. I regret buying the old cover designs. Now my mother won't allow me to buy the new designs of course since I've been draining her wallet....

  1. LOL it happened to me too!! Until now I didn't want to read this book because of the boring cover. I looks like a book for adults...
Now, with the new cover which is so much better, I want to give it a try...
