It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.
But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?
In this highly-anticipated sequel, Lu delivers a breathtaking thriller with high stakes and cinematic action.
*Thanks to Louisse and Alyana I was introduced to this Trilogy by those 2 wonderful girls <3 I'm really grateful for Louisse for lending me her ARC copy of Prodigy :)*
My thoughts...
The characters in the sequel was well... more dramatic than usual. A lot of fighting, shouting disagreeing and kissing. *Winks* This is definitely better than LEGEND, I admire those authors who makes their first book AWESOME and then make the next book WOAH! It was that FUCKINGTASTIC!

I was kinda upset that Marie ended the story with a heartbreaking ending, I won't say anything that happened there. When I saw the BIG BOLD LETTERS "Acknowledgements" I was like what the frick?! What happened? I almost cried that the story ended so fast or maybe it was my fault for my super fast reading skills. I couldn't stop flipping the pages and I literally could not take my pee-break. *Blush*
Marie definitely left me hanging after I finally finished it. The protagonist Day and June, were as romantic as ever. They were one of the best couples I've read even though they are quite young (Same age as me) When I read the kissing scenes I was like :O Woah! Intense! (The hopeless romantics will surely LOVE this)
This is not you're typical love-dystopian-bloody story. This is "THE STORY"! *I'm shouting it* As June and Day find Tess in the hands of the patriots, they found themselves working for them, and their only mission is to assassinate the new elector, Anden. Now that the last elector had died his son took over the throne. Thinking that Anden is the same person as his father, the patriots want him GONE! Knowing Anden's alluring love interest for June, it became a great use for the Patriots, and it also switched Day's jealous mode. June's dinner date with Anden sure put June's decision in joining the Patriots regrettable. Anden wasn't the person they thought he was, now June has to find a way to contact the patriots and abandon the mission.
As I went deeper into the story I was team Day from the first book until now, but then there were some scenes where you really wanted to slap his face and some that would make you swoon. I still love Day, but I kinda...maybe...a teensy bit hated his guts. While Day was out there shouting at June, Anden was there earning June's trust. You could understand why I ended up liking Anden. Day still questioned June's feelings for him, and that made Tess gain an opportunity. Knowing Marie Lu added a love square in the story...made me squeal. Most love stories usually have love triangles which I'm kinda getting sick of. A love square?! hm....if it's in Maire Lu's story of course it would mix well. *So Bias*
This author's way of writing has a different style, some of them makes you think, some makes you swoon, some will make you cry and some will make you frustrated. (bi-polar writing) Definitely something I would read everyday. I recommend this to everyone, to my followers , to my family and to my friends. :D
5 stars!
I can't wait this long for the third book :(( The ending...the ending...huhuhu It just made me want to cry. Marie Lu, I hope you're reading this :( Please hurry! I might die soon....*cough
